This wine commemorates an incident that occurred when 40 wine lovers from Chateau Thomas Winery were on our first annual Wine Cruise in the Mediterranean last April.

It's a semi-dry 2008 Riesling in a 500 ml bottle. The price is $16.99. The 500 ml bottle is made so that it leans to one side just like the ship did, and it will be a real conversation piece.

While cruising into the channel to Tunis (Tunisia, North Africa), the Captain tried to enter the channel when another ship was exiting the channel. He made what he later termed a "Special Maneuver," and made a sharp right turn tipping the ship to 36 degrees, and sending people, equipment, tableware, etc. sliding all over the ship and damaging the propellor on a sand bar.

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt and we made it into Tunis OK.
